Minister of Finance, Shkelqim Cani said today during the 12 month analysis of the work of the customs administration, that the fact that 190 million USD more have been collected as opposed to a year ago, helped in reviewing this year’s budget and increasing it.
“We broke the taboo! The increase is modest, by 30 million USD in the budget, but what’s important is the positive turn and this is only the start”, said the minister of Finance.
He said that this is the merit of customs, tax administration, but also the business sector, because it has been successful in its work.
“Today we present rising figures, over 330 million dollars more for the budget for the period October 2013-September 2014, but let us not forget the difficult situation that we found. I found a treasury full of 100 million USD worth of invoices which had been waiting for months to be paid”, said Cani. /ibna/
