In the race for the mayor of Pristina, the biggest political party in the country, Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) will run the Minister of Security Forces, Agim Çeku.
Çeku has been proposed by the leading committee of this party,
Çeku has become member of PDK a few months ago, as he was leader of Social Democratic Party and the latter has nominated Kacusha Jashari as candidate for the elections in Pristina.
So far, Shpend Ahmeti from Self Determination and Besnik Tahiri from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo have been announced as official candidates for the race in Pristina.
Meanwhile, Democratic League of Kosovo which has led Pristina until now has not yet announced its candidate for Pristina. Tomorrow is the last deadline for the names of candidates to be sent to the Central Election Commission. /ibna/
