Democratic Party of Kosovo delivered a news conference today where it demanded from opposition parties not to block the creation of the institutions.

Vice chairman of this party, Memli Krasniqi said that the solution of the political crisis can only be achieved by respecting the constitution and will of the citizens.

“PDK invites other parties not to block the institutions. PDK remains open to cooperate with other parties for the solution of problems by respecting the constitution and the will of the citizens”, declared Krasniqi.

‘We’re open to discuss, but we will not make a compromise to withdraw from the will of the citizens”, said Memli Krasniqi in this news conference.

Commenting the possibility of holding fresh elections, Krasniqi said that PDK doesn’t support this idea, but, according to him, they are also ready for this option.

On the other hand, opposition parties declared today that they’re against cooperation with PDK for the solution of the political crisis.

General secretary of LDK, Ismet Beqiri says that the opposition bloc will not enter a compromise with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, after the failure to elect Arsim Bajrami as speaker of parliament.

“We are neither ready, nor willing to make a compromise. There’s nothing to discuss with PDK on this issue. The only thing that they can do is to withdraw from this blockade to the state. They are doing this blockade with 36 MPs, based on a court ruling which is being interpreted by them as it convenes to them”, said Beqiri.

The bloc is expecting parliament to elect Isa Mustafa as speaker of parliament and then to form the government based on numbers. /ibna/
