Pavlopoulos says Greece and Poland are ready to fight together for a stronger EU

The President of Greece, Prokopis Pavlopoulos “hailed the consistency with which Greece and Poland follow their European path and defend the European future, having a stronger European Union as their vision, during an official dinner in honour of visiting Polish President Andrzej Duda, in Athens, on Monday” (November 20) reports ANA-MPA.

Greece’s head said that the country had actively assisted Poland with its accession to the EU, adding that “we are now ready to fight together for the European Union’s definitive recognition so that it is strong enough to cope with the major challenges it faces.”

According to Pavlopoulos, the present reality demonstrates that a stronger Common Foreign and Security Policy will be of major importance in the process of European integration, as it will specify existing institutional and political gaps, that, perhaps, were the reason why the EU was not as active as it should be in global affairs because of the conflict in the Middle East…/IBNA
