The chairman of the parliamentary economy committee, Erion Brace declared today that the committee that he leads has unanimously discharged the governor of the Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani.
At the end of the meeting, Brace told the media that: “The request of the Oversight Committee informs parliament about the discharge of the governor of the Bank of Albania. The motive is ‘violation at work’. The committee has unanimously voted in favor of the discharge”.
This approval comes after the request made by the Oversight Committee for the suspension of the governor of the Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani and the last step for this was the Economy Committee.
Today, the Economy Committee also voted in favor of discharging the General Inspector of the Bank of Albania, Elivar Golemi.
Two senior officials of the Bank of Albania are accused of providing the necessary conditions for the security of the money that this institution administrated, to be threatened through lack of action with the theft of 713 million ALL from the State Treasury. /ibna/
