In Albania, the governing majority has voted in the early hours of Friday the actual state budget for 2014, while the right wing opposition was not present in the voting. The voting was preceded by a long debate. Majority MPs insisted that during 2014, the Albanian economy saw signs of improvement, whereby economic growth was 2,1%, while opposition MPs say that the economic situation in the country is serious.
According to PM Edi Rama, the 2014 budget laid down the foundations of a financially healthy economy. Revenues in 2014 went up by 395 million USD, Rama said.
PM Rama also said that in 2014, the government paid 340 million USD worth of debt, incurred by the democrat government. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party came up with figures, which according to it, show that Albanians are becoming poorer. /ibna
