Parliament in FYROM adopted the agreement for good neighboring relations with Bulgaria

With 61 votes in favor, 1 abstain and without the presence of the opposition, Parliament of FYROM ratified the Agreement for good neighboring relations and cooperation with Bulgaria.

Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov said that this agreement upholds the national interests of both countries.

“Neither us, nor Bulgaria are happy with this text, because the agreement doesn’t incorporate the initial positioning of one side or the other. However, this agreement sends out a signal that here in our region, we can behave like Europeans”, Dimitrov said.

On the other hand, Dimitrov has also criticized the opposition, which, according to him, must back every attempt to integrate the country in the European and Atlantic structures. /balkaneu.com/
