Parliament in FYROM voted today the proposals of PM Nikola Gruevski for the appointment of two new ministers, Mitko Cavkov as Interior Minister and Vlado Misajlovski as minister of Transport and Communication.
71 MPs including an MP from BDI, voted in favor.
These changes in the cabinet followed last night’s resignation of minister of Interior, Gordana Jankulovska and Transport minister, Mile Janakievski. Their resignations followed the publication of registered conversations by the opposition, where the two ministers are heard talking about illicit affairs.
The head of Secret Services, Saso Mijalkov, who is considered to be a key man and cousin of PM Nikola Gruevski, also resigned.
PM Nikola Gruevski said before MPs that he accepted the resignations in order to give way to the solution of the political crisis following the publication of the wiretapped materials by the opposition.
He said that this reshuffle also aims at refreshing the government governing coalition. /ibna/
