At the disposal of the Prime Minister placed his resignation the Deputy Transport Minister, Infrastructure and Networks, Panagiotis Sgouridis after his statements that Alexis Tsipras misled the farmers.
“The Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Networks, Panagiotis Sgouridis for touchiness reasons, placed his resignation at the disposal of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will address the issue on his return from the summit in Brussels”, was announced by Maximus.
Speaking to radio station Maximum 3,6, Sgouridis said: “If you do not make promises they won’t vote for you. When somebody speaks rationally he is good. Since I am an old canteen and because I do not count my words, we must tell the truth at some point. This is the truth”, he continued.
Then, the reporter asked, “they were misled by the Prime Minister?”. “Just like the previous one. Zappeion 1, Zappeion 2, Zappeion 3. Just like the ‘there is money’…”, Sgouridis replied. “You mean, Tsipras misled them like Samaras?”, insisted the reporter. “As Papandreou before, etc.” Sgouridis replied.
Later, after the noise that was created, the Infrastructure minister issued a statement in which he spoke of the isolation of a “unfortunate word” from the interview and added: “The moral advantage of this government and of the Prime Minister, no matter how hard some try to hurt it, they will not succeed. Finally, I did not mean that the Prime Minister misled the Greek people, because he is neither Papandreou nor Samaras”.
