Southeast Europe currently faces three threats. This was declared by the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati during a speech delivered in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the South East Europe Cooperation Process which was held in Slovenia.
“The first threat is for enlargement no longer to be considered as a joint primary objective. The second one is if the growth of political cooperation in the region doesn’t have a concrete impact in the life of our citizens, while the third threat has to do with the new tendency to sacrifice the rule of law for the sake of stability”, Bushati said.
Furthermore, referring to the process of the European integration, he said that time has come for this process to have a calendar and deadlines.
On the other hand, as part of this activity, he also had a meeting with the EU chief of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, where he expressed his conviction that Albania’s progress in the implementation of the reform in justice and the clear priorities of the new Albanian government in the domain of integration will help in the start of accession talks. /balkaneu.com/
