Central Election Commission (CEC) will not be able to handle the early parliamentary elections of June 8 without the support of OSCE.
In the meeting held on this issue, CEC has clarified and approved the cooperation with OSCE in order for the latter to assist in the June 8 elections for the four northern communes inhabited by Serbs of Kosovo.
Central Election Commission declared that the technical support of OSCE for CEC in the four northern communes of the Republic of Kosovo, is necessary only in several domains which relate to technical aspects.
CEC members, with the exception of the member of Self Determination, Adnan Rustemi, have stressed that the assistance of OSCE in the northern part, is needed for technical issues and that it’s not needed to play the same role that it played in the 2013 local government elections. /ibna/
