The largest opposition party in Kosovo, Self Determination, warned today protests against the agreements reached in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia.

The heads of this political party declared that they will use all methods to oppose the Association of Serb Communes in the country.

The vice chairman of Self Determination, Glauk Konjufca, said in a press conference that PM Isa Mustafa and Deputy PM, Hashim Thaci, have signed a document in Brussels which legitimizes the division of Kosovo.

“The Association means political and territorial autonomy of the Serbs of Kosovo. This agreement cannot be considered anything else but political autonomy which will be completely controlled by Belgrade. This is not good news for Kosovo”, he said.

“This was national treason done by Thaci and Mustafa to Kosovo. The necessary infrastructure is being built in order for Serbia to announce its autonomy inside of Kosovo”, Konjufca said.

Meanwhile, leader of Self Determination, Visar Ymeri said that with this Association, the government has given up on the consolidation of the state and the development of the country.

“With a defined territory, the association will act like a state. This association becomes stronger than the Republic of Kosovo”, Ymeri said.

Ymeri said that Mustafa must leave the post of prime minister, because of what he considered the damage that he caused to the country by signing the agreement on the Association.

The head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj,  says that with the signature of the agreement for the creation of the Association of Serb Communes, Kosovo is making a step backwards.

According to Haradinaj, this agreement puts Kosovo in a difficult position and that Thaci and Mustafa acted against the general interest of the citizens of Kosovo. /ibna/
