On Tuesday, police in Kosovo arrested the AAK’s senior official, Muhamet Kelmendi on suspicion that he has prepared a terrorist attack in the north of Mitrovica.

Present in this operation were also four men who have been with Kelmendi and who are former members of KLA.

IBNA learns that police suspect that the persons in question have been part of the actions that relate to the armed group involved in the incident in Kumanovo.

Neither police nor prosecution have issued any details in relation to the case, although Police of Kosovo spokesman, Baki Kelani, has not denied the names that were mentioned.

“All of them have been released with the order of the prosecutor. I cannot add anything else besides what’s on the press statement, because I can hold back the investigations”, Kelani said.

But, the head of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj has reacted today.

Kelmendi’s arrest by special police units were considered as terror against opposition by Haradinaj.

“When state structures engage in arresting public personalities, such as it was the case with the arrest of a senior member of an opposition party, then this is terror against this opposition”, Haradinaj declared. /ibna/
