Opposition parties, AAK, Self Determination and Incentive, have filed today in the Constitutional Court the constitutional amendment which gives way to the creation of the Special Tribunal.

According to the opposition a violation has taken place in the second round of voting of the Special Tribunal.

Self Determination MP, Albulena Haxhiu said that the government had to take into consideration the June 26 decision, adding that the amendment violates the Constitution of Kosovo.

She said that the Special Tribunal has lost its credibility and that procedures were breached.

“Majority MPs have been put under pressure and have changed their mind on the Special Tribunal. This is a violation of Constitution, because MPs must decide based on their conscience and not pressure”, she said.

Meanwhile, Valdete Bajrami from the INCENTIVE, said that the opposition has demanded parliament not to proceed with the amendments, while now, according to her, a reaction is expected from the Constitutional Court. /ibna/
