Opposition parties in Kosovo have organized a joint protest at the entrance of the Ministry of Justice, accusing the minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuci for preventing the rule of law.

Valdrin Ahmeti from Self Determination, said that justice institutions are not being able to fight crime and corruption.

“A key member in this Council is the minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuci and Kosovo doesn’t have an elected General Attorney and a Prosecution Council that fights crime and corruption”, he said.

He blamed the minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuci for preventing the work of judges in trying big crimes.

“Mobs who are clients of Hashim Thaci and Hajredin Kuci have managed to evade trials so far. They are Ramadan Muja, Xhabir Zharku, sons of Adem Grabovci and so on”, he added.

The opposition accused minister Kuci of intervening in cases such as the one of Bajrush Xhemajli, Nexhat Demaku, Bajram Mulaku, Begzat Sinani, Nexhmedin Arifi and Selim Januzi, who are accused of expropriating public property. /ibna/
