Representatives of small opposition parties have had a meeting today with the country’s president, Ilir Meta amidst a political crisis which seems to be aggravating even further.
“We had a discussion with the president about the current situation in the country which seems to be aggravating. I believe that he will issue a new decree for a new election date with the aim of defusing the political situation and creating the necessary conditions for normal elections”, declared opposition representative, Dashamir Shehi.
On Thursday, president Meta met with democrat leader, Lulzim Basha and other right wing representatives. PM Edi Rama refused the invitation for a meeting with the head of the state, saying that he has a busy agenda ahead of Sunday’s polls. /ibna/
