Opposition coalition in Kosovo has reacted after the publication of the full verdict of the Constitutional Court and says that this court entitles the opposition to elect the speaker of parliament.

LDK-AAK-Incentive insist that point 126 and 127 entitle them to elect the speaker of parliament.

”The verdict, namely points 126 and 127, explain the entitlement and constitutional obligation of MPs to find a way to elect the speaker of parliament, who is elected by majority of votes”.

“Coalition and partners are committed for institutions to be established as soon as possible, in order to serve the interests of the citizens of Kosovo”, reads the press statement of the post election coalition.

Self Determination too has reacted after the verdict of the Constitutional Court in relation to the constitution sitting of the parliament of Kosovo on July 17.

Self Determination considers this as a politically biased decision which has violated the democracy expressed in the parliament of Kosovo.

The decision of the Constitutional Court relating to the lawfulness of the election of Isa Mustafa in the post of the speaker of parliament, was considered by Self Determination as biased and that it doesn’t bring any constitutional solutions. Self Determination says that this decision shows that independent institutions are under political control. /ibna/
