Macedonian Democratic Liberal Party (PLD) has dismissed from its ranks the member of the party’s steering committee, Roza Topuzova, who accepted her mandate as an MP, won in the April 27 elections, thus refusing the decision of the opposition to give up on the mandates and not to recognize the elections.
Last night, PLD’s steering committee has dismissed Topuzova from the committee and its post as vice chairwoman of the party.
Leader of PLD, Andrej Zernovski said that she was dismissed because she didn’t comply with the party and opposition decisions. “Topuzova cannot represent the opposition in parliament, but only her personal interests”, says Zernovski.
For the moment, Topuzova is the only MP from the Macedonian opposition who was against the decision not to recognize the elections and accepted her MP mandate. /ibna/
