The deputy chairwoman of the biggest opposition party, LSDM (Macedonian Social Democratic League), Radmila Sekerinska declared that Brussels is putting pressure in order for the opposition to return to parliament.
“We’ve constantly had meetings with emissaries of the European Union and they’ve tried to convince us to return to parliament, but our stand is clear and we have conveyed to the international community our conditions that must be met.
They are conditions which have been imposed since the day when ballot boxes were closed on April 27 and when the opposition refused to accept the election result”, said Sekerinska.
According to her, the opposition demands the formation of a technical government, census of the population, the cleansing of the electoral list, respect for the freedom of media and holding of fresh elections.
