Representatives of the opposition block have had a meeting today to discuss on the next constitutive parliament session scheduled to take place on September 12.
After the meeting, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa said that opposition parties have the majority in parliament in order to elect the speaker of parliament.
Meanwhile, he said that the Constitutional Court cannot decide about the will of the people and cannot force MPs to vote according to PDK’s appetite”, declared Mustafa.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj expressed his conviction about the election of Isa Mustafa in the post of the speaker of parliament.
He also talked about the relations with representatives of the Self Determination, but has not wanted to publicly comment on them.
“This time we will elect Isa Mustafa as speaker of parliament. We’re also contacting Self Determination, but we will not make the content of the talks public, because we’ve said enough on this issue”, said Haradinaj.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has claimed the post of the speaker of parliament.
Vice chairman of PDK and acting minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj says that until next Friday, September 12, when the parliament session will take place, PDK will have the necessary numbers to elect the speaker of parliament and form the government.
Hoxhaj said that PDK has its own way of electing the speaker of parliament.
“PDK will initially propose three candidates within the party, then out of these three, one of them will be nominated for voting”, said Hoxhaj. /ibna/
