The Albanian opposition has commented today the latest report of the International Monetary Fund on Albania, saying that this report raised the alert about the growth of public debt, which could lead the country toward a financial crisis.
“The IMF mission has made some serious critical warnings for the future of the country. IMF has issued a clear message that Albania’s economic situation will deteriorate in the future. The completion of TAP and Devoll, investments which were enabled by the democrat government, will dry out the economy from foreign investments which are necessary to create jobs and economic growth. The IMF is clear about the fact that the completion of these two investments will lead to a slowdown of economic growth”, said the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha.
Meanwhile, Basha also said that the arrears of this government amount to 270 million USD or 1.8% of the GDP. /balkaneu.com/
