· For the land area of Ioannina, the consortium ENERGEAN OIL AND GAS / PETRA PETROLEUM.

· For the Marine area of Patra, the consortium GREEK Petroleum / EDISON / PETROCELTIC.

· For Katakolon, the consortium ENERGEAN OIL AND GAS / TRAJANOIL & GASLtd.

the Minister of PECA, Giannis Maniatis, made the following statement on the matter:

“We bring today in Parliament the contracts signed between the Greek State and the consortiums for conducting research and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the three regions of Western Greece, Patras, of Katakolon and Ioannina, so that the Greek Parliament approves and the Greek people be informed of the Agreement.

After meritocratic and transparent assessment, tough trading on technical, legal and financial terms to maximize the benefits of the Greek State, with emphasis on safety and environmental protection, and after the contracts having been checked by the Court to completely shield the public interest, we bring in Parliament for ratification the signed contracts.

It is an important moment for the country as part of our effort to get Greece out of the crisis for good, while at the same time function as a pillar of stability, prosperity and security in the wider region of Southeastern Mediterranean”.
