Following Mevlut Cavusoglu who went after Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Twitter, Turkey’s ruling AKP party spokesman Omer Çelik took over and launched a fierce attack against Greece and the Foreign Ministry.
In a statement after the party’s Central Committee meeting, Çelik stated: “You know we are eager to provide help to many countries at their request. Unfortunately, however, the “diseases” of our friend, neighbor and ally in NATO, Greece, are incurable.
They requested the arrival of three Greek citizens to Turkey from Djibouti. With the involvement of our Foreign Ministry, these three Greeks flew over to Turkey with Turkish Airlines. However, it is very interesting that fact that, when the Greek Foreign Minister comments on this issue, he says they brought their citizens back to their country with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti and the European Union, when in fact it is Turkey that took on all the roles and provided help all the way from Djibouti to Greece. This incident is significant, as it shows that the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been caught up in its hostility towards Turkey cultivated by them, and has been caught up in this propaganda. It constitutes an example of the Greek mentality, where the most radical political approach is preferred even in these humanitarian situations. We would like to warn the authorities in Greece, especially the Greek Foreign Minister, not to sacrifice humanitarian issues at the altar of this political fanaticism, as they have done many times”, he stated. /ibna
