The head of the Ombudsman office, Igli Totozani reiterates his recommendation for mayors throughout the country in order to take measures in offering temporary accommodation for groups in urgent need who demand assistance from the local government with the aim of preventing situations which can risk their life or their health.
Referring to the difficult weather conditions and low temperatures that the coming days hold in store, the Ombudsman considers the preparation and offering of temporary accommodation as urgent. According to him, this is the only way to prevent situations that can risk their life or health, especially on young people and elderly people.
Based on the lack of reaction by heads of municipalities, Ombudsman, Igli Totozani is forced to repeat this recommendation for the heads of local government, who have a legal duty on showing care for every citizen in the territory that they govern. /ibna/
