An Albanian-Italian expedition, which has been going on for several days in the Archaeological Park of Finiq, in the south of Albania, has enabled the discovery of several new objects with high historical value.

Heading the expedition of the joint team are Prof. Shpreca Gjongecaj of the Albanian Institute of Archeology and Prof. Sandro De Maria of the University of Bologna in Italy.

The Regional Directorate of National Culture in Vlora, says that the team, which  is working on digging previous sectors, has  discovered new monuments, such as a space near the southern surrounding wall.

Experts believe that these monuments belong to a 6th century AD church.

These monuments are being closely observed by the EU Delegation to Tirana and foreign experts, Sotiri Zarpalas and Giorgos Antoniou.
