Obama nominates Greg Delawie as US ambassador to Kosovo

US President, Barack Obama has nominated Greg Delawie as the new ambassador in the Republic of Kosovo.

“Embassy of the United States of America has the pleasure to confirm that President Obama has nominated Greg Delawie as the next US ambassador to Kosovo. The Constitution of the USA requires the President to have the consent of the US Senate before appointing ambassadors. In spite of the latest media reports in Kosovo, the Senate has not yet held a hearing session or a voting in relation to this nomination”, reads the US embassy statement.

Previously, Delawie has worked as vice ambassador in the US embassy in Berlin from 2009 until 2012, vice assistant secretary in the Bureau for Political and Military Issues from 2008 until 2009, head of the office for bilateral trade in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs from 2007 until 2008. From 2004 until 2007, he was vice ambassador of the USA in Zagreb. Delawie was graduated in economics from Harvard University. /ibna/
