Obama asked from Tsipras to reach a solution as soon as possible

The president of the United States of America Barack Obama spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on the Greek crisis, asking them once again to reach a compromise, as was announced by the White House.

The US president continues to “encourage all parties to participate constructively in the discussions” and to reach a compromise which will allow Greece to remain in the euro zone, said White House spokesman Josh Earnest.

During the telephone conversation he had with Barack Obama, Alexis Tsipras explained to the President of the United States the positions of the Greek government and not the concrete proposal to be discussed by Greece with its European partners, specify sources of the Greek government .

Obama expressed the strong desire of the US for the negotiations to have a successful outcome.
