Each year, there’s been a growing number of complaints for discrimination in FYROM. Such trend has also been registered in 2017, says Nena Nenovska from the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
“In general, complaints relate to discrimination at work, access to services, education, sport and social security. But there are also complaints about gender, racial and ethnic discrimination”, Nenovska says.
Last year, this independent state committee has examined 84 cases and in 19 of them, discrimination has been proved. NGOs and the Ombdusman have also expressed their concern about the growing discrimination taking place. /ibna/
