The number of convicts in Kosovo for 2013 is smaller than in 2012. This is the conclusion of the Agency of the Statistics of Kosovo (ASK), which has published today “Justice System Statistics 2013”. This publication offers statistics for offenders who have been convicted during 2013.
“Based on the results of this publication, courts of first instances have pronounced in 2013 15.046 sentences. Compared to 2012, where the number of convicts was 18.339, there’s a drop of 3.293 convicts”, reads the report issued by ASK.
According to the results, the number of women convicts has also seen a drop. The general number of women convicts is 573, while this number was 779 in 2012. /ibna/
