In particular, the NSSG recorded increased sales volume in books-paper products, other goods (18.3%), clothing – footwear (10.3%), fuel and lubricants for motor vehicles (3.9%), supermarkets (3.3%) and pharmaceuticals – cosmetics (2.3%). In contrast, the turnover decreased in food-beverages- tobacco (6.7%), household equipment (5%) and supermarkets (0.2%).
Specifically, the Hellenic Statistical Authority announced the following:
The volume index (turnover in constant prices), in retail trade, increased by 4.8% in July 2014 compared to the index for July 2013, while compared with the index for June 2014 it increased 2.8%.
The turnover index (in current prices) increased 1.5% compared to the index in July 2013, while compared with the index for June 2014 it decreased 0.7%.
