The Council of Ministers in Albania ratifies today the Memorandum of the Albanian Government with the Government of Montenegro for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline.
During the government meeting, Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that the trajectory of the Trans Adriatic goes through Greece, Albania and Italy, but the northern Balkan countries have also expressed their interest for this pipeline.
“The endorsement of this memorandum is without any doubt a proof that this project is far better than other projects. This project opens a regional market and this project is the biggest project in Albania in the domain of energy, along with the Cascade of Devoll”, added Prime Minister Berisha.
The Albanian PM also informed the media about several other decisions that are expected to be taken today by the cabinet, such as the reimbursement of the VAT for farmers, several important decisions for the fishing sector, the reduction of VAT for tourism, etc. /ibna/
