An art campaign was launched recently at the central square of Skopje titled “Put on your slippers and stay at home”.
The organizers state that this artistic intervention is intended to help citizens continue to isolate and to minimize their outings during these moments when isolation is perhaps the most effective weapon for combating the pandemic.
As the organizers of the artistic intervention explained, they chose slippers as they are synonymous with staying at home, since they constitute an indispensable part of “home fashion” during isolation.
In the footsteps of the previous “Keep the distance” project, with this one as well we want to encourage citizens to endure this very important battle for all of us, but also to show that art and culture in these difficult times are accompanying citizens and that we all need to be united to get our lives back on track. As before, we dedicate this action to the health workers who sacrifice themselves every day for a better future for all of us, say the organizers of the action. Therefore, they say that this action took place without any members of the group coming in direct contact with each other; that is, it was carried out in different phases and successively by different artists. /ibna
