North Macedonia: Government disappointed by Constitutional Court’s decision

The government believes that the start of the Constitutional Court’s proceedings to overturn the decree to reduce the salaries of 2,060 employees, MPs, judges, prosecutors and directors to a minimum wage of 14,500 dinars for April and May, is directly detrimental to the country.

With this decision, the government points out, the Constitutional Court is blocking the direct supply of about 240 million to the budget for the measures to combat COVID-19.

The government said in a statement that it was “disappointed” by the scandalous decision, which jeopardizes the fight against coronavirus.

With this decision, the constitutional judges practically made a decision for their salaries as well. /ibna
