At the invitation of his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dacic, Foreign Minister of North Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov will pay a working visit to the Republic of Serbia today.
According to the Foreign Ministry, this is the first working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs abroad since the beginning of the pandemic and is an indication of the further development of dialogue and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
At the meeting, the Ministers are expected to exchange views on the current situation in the overall bilateral relations and the opportunities for improving cooperation in all areas of common interest, with an emphasis on deepening economic cooperation.
At the same time, they will exchange views and experiences on the handling of the two countries in the current pandemic, as well as on the forthcoming measures to relax the restrictive measures under the pandemic situation, in a comprehensive framework of similar trends in the region and Europe.
The two foreign ministers will also discuss regional co-operation as a factor in the stability and prosperity of the Balkan region, as well as the EU’s agenda in anticipation of important steps for North Macedonia and Serbia and the region as a whole./ibna
