The text on Turkey’s invasion in the Cypriot EEZ was at last approved with targeted instead of restrictive measures included, and now everyone is preparing for the next step to be taken, that of the Foreign Affairs Council.

“Turkey’s mining activity is illegal, and we want it to stop. The EU stands in full solidarity with Cyprus. The process is under way and I do not want to reveal any more details,” an EU official stated, adding that conclusions are expected to be drawn on Monday, after the Foreign Affairs Council.

Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides said that Nicosia is satisfied with the text and therefore it is promoted as it is to the Foreign Ministry Council on Monday. / ibna
