President of Albania, Ilir Meta has granted omnipotence to the minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati to hold negotiations with Greece on issues which are being discussed between the two countries. The news has been officially confirmed by the Presidency.
“Following the request made by the minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the President granted today to the minister for Europe and Foreign Affiars, Ditmir Bushati Omnipotence for the Negotiating Group of the Republic of Albania in negotiating the ‘Draft Agreement between the Republic of Albania and Republic of Greece on their sea borders’”, the institution of the President says, adding among others that the President requests the ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, to Albanian state institutions involved in these negotiations and the Negotiating Group to meet their responsibilities according to the Constitution, Decision No. 15, 15.04.2010 of the Constitutional Court, international acts where Albania has adhered and the domestic legal framework to preserve and exert territorial sovereignty and international jurisdiction and to uphold security and the economic and social interests of the country. /balkaneu.com/
