After the last round of talks between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels with the intermediacy of the high representative of the European Union for foreign policies, Catherine Ashton, the spokeswoman of Baroness Ashton, Maja Kocijancic declared that there had been a meeting between prime minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci and Baronessh Ashton.

According to her, this meeting was followed by another meeting between Mrs. Ashton and prime minister of Serbia, Ivica Dacic. The latter has been accompanied by deputy prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic.

The meeting between the two prime ministers has lasted more than an hour. Another meeting is planned to take place next week.

After the meeting, prime minister Thaci said that the talks had moved forward, but he admitted that there was still no agreement on the justice system.

“The agreement is almost sealed. All the citizens of Kosovo will have access to justice. Law and order will be guaranteed in whole of Kosovo. Judges and Albanian and Serb prosecutors will work based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and laws of Kosovo, in a unique justice system”, declared Mr. Thaci.

Although before departing for Brussels, prime minister Thaci had expressed his conviction that this meeting would lead to an accord, he said that for the time being, this accord has not been reached and that this is only a technical issue now. /ibna/
