NATO’s Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg is staying for a two day visit to Skopje. During his first day of visit, he congratulated the country for the achievements that it has made and that NATO is looking forward to having North Macedonia as part of its structures.
Stoltenberg made these comments after a reception organized in the parliament of North Macedonia hosted by parliamentary speaker, Talat Xhaferi.
“Once the process for your adherence is finalized, I look forward to having North Macedonia as the 30th member of our alliance and to seeing your flag in our headquarters in Brussels”, NATO’s chief said.
Meanwhile, Stoltenberg is also expected to meet Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. /ibna/
