Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, has participated along with foreign ministers of the region, in a session of discussions in the Committee for Foreign Policies of the European Parliament.

In his speech in front of 100 MPs, Hoxhaj talked about relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

“At the moment, normalization of relations is far from being achieved. The priorities of the talks are: to implement all the agreements without renegotiating them, the dissolution of parallel structures, integration of the Serbs of Kosovo in state institutions, the presence of Kosovo in regional and international incentives, including the UN and lastly, the mutual recognition. For us, it’s important to reach a Peace Treaty”, said outgoing Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj.

According to him, the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia through a legal binding document, should be a mutual recognition.

“In a period from 3 to 5 years, we must address all pending issues. We’re not interested on taking Kosovo to the EU, but bring the EU to Kosovo”, said Hoxhaj. /ibna/
