Another group of 265 vulnerable refugees and migrants who were stuck on the Greek island of Lesbos, were given the green light to travel on Sunday night from there to Piraeus. This group is the third to leave Lesbos, following 408 people who were allowed to leave last Friday and Saturday.
According to a relevant plan by the competent migration policy ministry, such departures of refugees and migrants from the northern Aegean island of Lesbos will not end here. Authorities want to ensure that, over the next few days and until the end of the month, the island’s facilities will have been left with nearly 3,500 persons only, so that their well being and safety can be safeguarded.
At the moment and with estimations after the current departures, there are about 7,500 refugees and migrants on left on the island Lesbos…/IBNA
