For Montenegro, the agreement on the border demarcation with Kosovo was finalized when it was adopted in Parliament. This was declared on Wednesday from Pristina by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dusko Markovic.
Markovic issued these comments during a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, following a meeting that the heads of the two governments had with each other.
“When it comes to Montenegro, the issue of the agreement on the border demarcation has been finalized with its ratification in parliament, while parliament in Kosovo has not ratified it”, Markovic said.
“As a friendly country to Kosovo, we want this issue to be solved. We don’t want problems with Kosovo”, Montenegro’s PM said.
Meanwhile, the issue of the border deal still remains an open issue in the international aspect for as long as Kosovo has not yet ratified it.
After the meeting, PM Haradinaj said that both countries will try to overcome this problem.
“There’s good will to find a solution about the current situation we’re in and I am hopeful that a solution will be found”, PM Haradinaj said.
Meanwhile, Premier Markovic said that “Montenegro has no problems with Kosovo”.
“There are several issues which need to be addressed, but I’m confident that we will find a solution in the future”, Markovic said. /balkaneu.com/
