Montenegro and France agreed on enhancing their bilateral defence ties through a strengthened co-opaeration in the particular field.
On the sidelines of the “Eurosatory 2018” Arms Fair, which lasts until 15 June and is taking place in Paris, the Montenegrin minister of Defence Predrag Bošković had an official meeting with his French counterpart, Minister of the Armed Forces of the French Republic Florence Parly.
“The two officials agreed that there is room for intensifying defence cooperation between the two countries, and expressed readiness to strengthen relations in the coming period”, reads the official website of the Montenegrin government.
The main topic of the meeting “was the modalities for improving the cooperation of the two countries in the field of defence. The two officials also exchanged views on contemporary security challenges.”
As minister Bošković said, his country highly appreciates the visible presence of France in the Western Balkans region, underlighting that “this region cannot be stable without a clear Euro-Atlantic vision, as Europe cannot be safe without the full integration of the Western Balkans”…. / IBNA
