The speaker of the parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli has declared that institutions of Montenegro have officially demanded the EU to lift the border demarcation as a condition for Kosovo’s liberalization of visas.
“The process of demarcation has turned into a long story, which has brought so many damages to Kosovo and one which has also been decided as an unfair condition for the liberalization of visas. However, the border demarcation is not a problematic issue in our relations with Montenegro”, Veseli declared.
He added that institutions of Montenegro will demand the EU to lift this as a condition for Kosovo.
The speaker of parliament has also commented the agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels for Kosovo’s telephone code.
“The process of independence is advancing well. Any ‘residue’ of the Serb power is leaving and Kosovo will no longer have +381 as its country code, but it will have its own code. Serbia will no longer have any influence on our country”, he said. /balkaneu.com/
