Ministry of Labor in Kosovo signs an agreement with a German organization for assistance to small businesses

Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare signed today a cooperation agreement with German organization Help-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e V.

Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi and Timo Stegelmann, head of the Division for Southeast Europe of this organization, signed a Cooperation Agreement for the implementation of the project “Support for the social-economic stability of micro-businesses in Kosovo”.

The general value of the project for the first and second phase of the project is 1 million and 360 thousand and 940 Euros.

The project will be implemented in the following communes: Pristina, Mitrovica, Ferizaj, Gracanica, Leposavic, Northern Mitrovica, Vushtri, Prizren and Gjilan.

430 micro businesses will be assisted with the necessary equipment for their activities.

The average value of a grant will be 2 thousand Euros. At least 430 businesses and 160 professional trainings will be organized for these businesses.

The project will take place from May 2015 until December 2016.

This project is in line with the national and local strategies of Kosovo and will support the process of sustainable development. /ibna/
