Ministry of Interior declared today that it’s getting ready to file a fresh charge against the leader of Macedonian opposition, Zoran Zaev, for publishing state secrets.

The Ministry of Interior says that the publication of state secrets  is an offense punished by the Criminal Law and that such offense is sentenced up to 10 years in prison. This ministry has explained in detail as to what the Macedonian opposition leader can expect.

“In the last news conferences, this person has revealed lies. He has also revealed state secrets that relate to the Ministry of Interior, by jeopardizing security”, said the Ministry of Interior.

In his last news conference, Zaev published registered conversations about a deal with an Israeli company for the purchase of wiretapping equipment and sophisticated weapons. These conversations also mention the head of secret services, Saso Mijalkov, who through a collaborator of his, demands for the Israeli company which will sell the equipment, to prepay 500 thousand Euros as a percentage decided outside of the official deal. But, these claims have been rejected by the head of secret services, Mijalkov, who said that he has pressed charges against Macedonian opposition leader for defamation and manipulation.

A part of opposition media have warned today that the Macedonian opposition leader may be arrested, but these rumors have been denied by the Ministry of Interior unofficially. /ibna/
