Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj has announced the names of 6 countries, which according to him, have decided to recognize the Republic of Kosovo and which are soon expected to announce this decision.
These countries are Cameron, Morocco, Algeria, Mozambique, Surinam Republic and Kazakhstan.
Mr. Hoxhaj is participating in the 40th Summit of the countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organization which is being held in Guinea Conakry, Africa, where he has handed the official request for recognition to the Cameron’s Foreign Minister, Adoum Garagoum, with which he has discussed on the need to establish diplomatic relations after the recognition of Kosovo.
This request for recognition has also been handed by minister Hoxhaj to the counterparts and representatives of Morocco, Algeria, Mozambique, Surinam Republic and Kazakhstan.
“I have handed the request for recognition of Kosovo to the foreign ministers, although I have had earlier contacts and communication with them. Now they are more informed and I was promised by them that this request would be deliberated by their governments”, said Hoxhaj.
Foreign Ministers of these countries and special envoys of the Organization have assured minister Hoxhaj for a proactive approach of their countries in relation to the recognition of Kosovo.
At the conclusion of the Summit, minister Hoxhaj is expected to hold a speech, where he will request the recognition of Kosovo by member countries of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation and will inform them on the progress marked by Kosovo in the recent months. Part of the agenda of the Summit is also the approval of a Resolution on Kosovo which calls on Islamic countries to recognize it. /ibna/
