The leaders of the two largest parties in FYROM, SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE are taking advantage of social networks to express their stances on the recent debate about the name dispute.
The leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristjan Mickoski posted on Facebook that with his actions, PM Zoran Zaev is selling out the country’s interests.
“Zaev has declared that he’s leading an excellent foreign policy and that he’s aware of the concessions being made in domestic policies. But his way of doing politics means he’s selling out the country’s interests”, Mickoski wrote.
Meanwhile, PM Zaev reacted by saying that the country has made lots of friends in Europe and the world, who are supporting it in its path of EU and NATO integration. Zaev said that any important decision for the country should be taken through domestic political consensus and that the issue of the name will undergo a referendum. /balkaneu.com/
