The metal industry in FYROM is running low on labor force. The Chamber of Commerce has announced that the current labor force is on the verge of retirement, while there aren’t many young workers.
Mitko Kocovski, chairman of the Association of Metallurgy at the Chamber of Commerce says that the government must find an urgent solution to this problem.
“There’s a problem with the lack of professionals, because there are very few youngsters who want to qualify in this domain. The number of students who study electromechanics in the professional schools, is low and their performance is very poor. It’s impossible to let a poor student operate a 15 million euro machine”, Kocovski says. /balkaneu.com/
