Albanian President Ilir Meta met with his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev in Israel.
During the meeting, the Albanian President thanked Radev for Bulgaria’s assistance and solidarity with Albania following the devastating earthquake that hit the country on 26 November 2019.
Rumen Radev will be visiting Tirana shortly, where the excellent relations between the two countries and their peoples will be reaffirmed.
President Meta praised Bulgaria’s ongoing support for the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration, stressing that “we firmly believe in Bulgaria’s supportive stance on the launching of Albania’s accession negotiations with the European Union at the EU Summit”.
Ilir Meta and Rumen Radev agreed that the promotion of the Corridor 8 projects should be at the center of co-operation between the two countries. /ibna
