Adviser to the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, Andreas Schockenhoff has demanded from political parties to continue the talks with Serbia.

In the meeting with the head of LDK, Isa Mustafa, he said that Germany doesn’t agree with several parties who demand the suspension of the talks.

“We’re in favor of the continuation of talks with Serbia and the implementation of the agreements reached so far. There’s no other way, therefore we don’t support those parties that demand the suspension of talks”, declared the German official following the meeting with the leader of LDK, Isa Mustafa.

He said that it’s the responsibility of political parties in Kosovo to create a stable government based on the election results.

Schockenhoff said that he hoped that all parties in parliament would engage in a constructive way to lead Kosovo forward in its EU integration.

He has assured that there will be no interventions from abroad for the creation of the new government. Last night, Mr. Schockenhoff has had individual meetings with other political leaders. /ibna/
